Mahsa KianiMahsa is a full-stack data scientist with over a decade of experience as a programmer, researcher, and instructor. She is passionate about solving real-world problems using technology, in particular, data science, artificial intelligence, and big data. She provides advice to entrepreneurs on turning AI into concrete value.

Mahsa cofounded MyData, which empowers individuals with their personal data by providing standardization, security & privacy, tech solutions, and training. She is currently Researcher at Artificial Intelligence Open Network, Data Scientist at Data for Good, Advisory Board Member of Lifeboat Foundation, Ambassador of Women in Data Science, and Mentor at Coursera. She is also the Chair of IEEE Canada Student Activities, and an Executive Member of IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence.

Mahsa is the author of over a dozen scientific publications and has been recognized in Inspiring Fifty Canada 2018, and hEr VOLUTION’s 150 Days of Canadian Women in STEM Initiative 2017.
