VincentRoyMaritimeDevConUp next for Maritime DevCon speakers is Vincent Roy! Vincent is a full stack developer with just under 10 years of experience. In that time he’s had a chance to work with various technologies from backend services written in Ruby on Rails to full fledged browser applications. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer at EMC writing backend and infrastructure services in Java, Python, JavaScript and Go. Vincent is regular at the Moncton Developer User Group where he’s given four talks over the last four years.

Vincent, if you were a programming language or technology, which one would you be and why?

Ruby, because of its design focus on humans.

What do you like best about Maritime DevCon?

Learning what other people in the maritime are doing.

Why do you feel your session, Chatbots for Fun and Profit, would bring value to Maritime DevCon attendees?

I think this session will be valuable in showing examples of the things a chatbot can be used for and how shared infrastructure can make teams more effective.

What is the key take away attendees will get from your session Integration Patterns in the World of Microservices?

I’m hoping that attendees will see the higher level take aways, such as the value in shared automation, etc

Thanks for joining us to present Vincent!
